Max Hollinghurst – a star in the making!

Here at Leeds Golf Centre we are passionate about getting young people into golf. Our junior pathway is a pivotal part of our club and something we’re extremely passionate about.

We love nothing more than welcoming a youngster into the game of golf and watching them fall in love with the sport that we are so passionate about.

Max Hollinghurst is one of our juniors at Leeds Golf Centre At only 16 years old, Max won the Yorkshire Under 16 Championship at Silkstone in August, previously won by various players who are now tour pros, including Dan Bradbury and Alex Fitzpatrick.

He qualified for the match play stages of the prestigious St Andrews Boys Open in August, finished in the top 25 in the Junior European Open in Spain in the last week of November. He was also invited to an assessment day for the England Boys Regional Squad and competed at the end of last year in the Junior European Open – what an incredible achievement – well done Max!

Leeds Golf Centre is one of the finest places for juniors to take up the game around. Along with top quality, PGA Professionals, the facilities to get young golfers up and running, progressing and enjoying the game are second to none. As well as the outdoor and indoor practice facilities, The Oaks par 3 course gives them the perfect opportunity to get their first taste of proper golf.

The Leeds Golf Academy staff are experts at devising thorough, detailed and fun sessions to get the kids learning and enjoying the sport from the very get go. They are constantly developing the junior program to make it as accessible as possible, as well being development and progression focused.
